No  4   (Circa 1909)

The 1909 catalog was simply a reprint of 1908 and the No. 4 was not shown in it, but the separate 1909 price list showed the No. 4 as being available. This one has the red plate and the 0-2-2 wheel arrangement. The tender is probably from 1914 and not correct with this locomotive, also note the rare Twist bridge in the background. The model below has the red plate with the 2-2-0 wheel arrangement. This locomotive may have been manufactured in 1910. Note the difference in the casting of the cab between the early one above and later one below.

This engine could pull more carrs than the 0 or 1.

Later (1910-11) wheel arrangement but earlier red litho plate, the No. 4 was first cataloged around 1909 and the one pictured below came from the original owner in a boxed set that would appear to be from 1909.
