First steam outline electric

Circa 1910 - First electric steam outline. White on black with yellow bordered metal lithographed number plate. Cast Iron body, 2 nickel boiler bands with rivet detail. Full rivet detail boiler. Headlight, smoke stack; steam dome. Rear wheel is cast iron, red, 6 spoke, held on by brass hex head nut. front wheel is tin. The example below is a year or two later, basic differences are in motor.

The 1912 version of the 1100 electric had a 0-4-0 wheel arrangement, 2 nickel boiler bands. 

Unusual drive rods

Note that this one has drive rods, not sure of significance, might be part of sets with Harvard/Yale cars?

Note the number - 1102

Locomotive No 1102 was just an 1100 from 1913. The 1100 locomotive came in set 1102 from 1912 to 1913, some of these show up with the 1102 number on the plate, We date this number to 1913 because of the tender. All examples of this locomotive with this number have come with the No. 1 or No. 11 tender that we believe was new in 1913.

In 30 years I've only seen three of these, pictured above and below are two of them. Two came with the No. 1 tender, the one below with a No. 11 tender.
