No 3200    (Circa 1914-16)
rubber stamped numbering wears off easily

Your basic black with white rubber stamped lettering and red/gold trim. Earlier 3200 had pilots that were separate pieces, the rubber stamped 3200 is all one casting. Below is how it is usually found with the lettering worn off.

This one has all the lettering, but has automatic couplers - this engine was never cataloged with any cars that would have been fitted with automatic couplers and we're not sure these are original.

If the US Post Office had done this to a stamp it would be worth a fortune, unfortunately with Ives it's just another example of poor quality control and doing what they had to. This example is stamped twice with 'THE IVES RAILWAY LINES' stamp and has no number stamped on it. This could also be an early example of this variation as it has an earlier motor (6 spoke weeks) not usually seen on this later engine.
