No. 145 / 146 Turntable    (Circa 1906-30)

Turntables were listed in the catalog from 1906 until 1930. Turntables were only available for Mechanical track layouts, but came in two forms; a manual one that required the operator to move the turntable from one track to the other (No. 145) and a Mechanical one that had a clockwork mechanism of its own (No. 146). The mechanical versions wound by simply turning the table and setting the catch, when the catch was released the table would move from one track to the next.

Circa 1906-1908 - No. 146 mechanical version, full lithograph (even on the bottom). The two turntables below is identical except they are the  No. 145 manual versions.

Circa 1908-1910 - No. 146 mechanical version. This variation has a lithographed center section and bottom, but the outside of it is painted. Unfortunately the little tin locomotive is blocking out the little metal plate on this one that reads "IVES MINATURE RAILWAY SYSTEM" - characteristic of most accessories from this period.

Above are two examples (145 left and 146 right) probably from the middle 1920s. Except that these are painted in the colors of their time, the mechanical features of both remain virtually unchanged.

A couple late variation, just slightly different color schemes.

Just a couple more variations to show that sometimes finding two alike is hard.
